2017 Chemistry Teachers' Conference
Date: Friday, 28th July 2017
Venue: Macquarie University
STANSW continues to respond to requests for subject specific professional learning events. Now in its 6th year, the STANSW Chemistry conference has been a consistently popular event for both experienced and less-experienced teachers alike. The program in 2017 will offer seminars and keynote addresses from inspiring speakers, including workshops on Chemistry pedagogy; from a mixture of presenters, including academics from universities, STANSW members and practising teachers. Join with like-minded Chemistry teachers for a day of discussion, networking and sharing. In 2017 the focus will be around implementation of the new preliminary syllabus (for 2018), the new HSC (for 2019) and pedagogy to support successful depth studies. #STAChem17
Completing STANSW Chemistry conference will contribute 5 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing standards: 6.2.2, 6.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher.
